Confessions of a Reluctant Self-Blogger

Confessing time: writing about myself ranks just below “forced small talk” for me on the agony scale. But hey, here we go—let’s debug the awkwardness together.

Homebody Mode: Activated

Give me a good internet connection, a trusty gadget (or two… or three), and I’ll nest indoors for days. Bonus points if there’s an Xbox standing guard nearby.

Daydreaming, Deluxe Edition

My ultimate “doing nothing” day? Parking myself somewhere with a mountain or beach view, a cold Chang or Nepal Ice, and a one-man karaoke session humming (badly) to my own playlist. Pure bliss.

Explorer Settings: On

Drop me into a new city and I morph into:

  • a color-chasing wanderer
  • an infrastructure-wowed tourist (staring at bridges, not Google Maps)
  • a smiley people-watcher and secret street art critic

With You in Spirit(s)

Watching my wife hero her way through extreme sports “she totally volunteered for” is my favorite competitive sport. Cheerleader, not participant—everyone’s safer that way.

Main Character Energy (in the Background)

  • Roaming Dhaka? Nope. You’ll understand if you’ve ever tried dodging rickshaws and existential dread.
  • Family or friends? Curated list, 2-3 max.
  • Religion, politics, or “best language” debates online? Swipe left, always.

Career Philosophy

Low profile, enough work to fuel my next trip and keep the adventure meter running. Pirate’s life if given the option (eye-patch not included).

Got your own “dream life” scenario? Drop it in the comments—I promise not to judge (unless it involves running for office or leading a book club).
